The Origin – Kamat Group of Hotels |

The first Kamat restaurant was established in Hubli in 1948. It was a hard task in those days, to set up a chain of hotels and restaurants in the absence of any institutional finance, but under the leadership of Late Shri RP Kamat, the family persevered, undaunted by any impediments.
Today Kamat Group is a chain of hundred odd vegetarian restaurants and hotels spread over Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Kanrnataka. |

An offshoot of Kamat Group of Hotels, founded in 1990 by Late Shri SP Kamat, younger brother of Late Shri RP Kamat. In Karnataka today, the Kamat Yatriniwas Group of Hotels with the objective of “Atithi Devobhava” (Guest is God) has become synonymous with delicious food, comfortable accommodation, reasonable pricing and excellent service. For more than a decade, the traveler to South India has been taking a break, whenever he comes across a hotel with a  logo . From star hotels to budget hotels to restaurants to drive-in way-side facilities, this group has 18 branches – 16 in Karnataka and one each in New Delhi and Hyderabad. |
